Ushers Ministry

For a day in thy court is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness". Psalms 84:10

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Ushers Ministry of the First South Florida Missionary Baptist District Association is to be the first Official Representative of Jesus Christ seen by the Association attendees as they enter God's House. They serve as one unified body of Servants of God from all of the cooperating Baptist churches of the Association, spreading Biblical principles among each other for the Glory of God and the up building of His Kingdom.

MISSION

The Mission of the Ushers Ministry of The First South Florida Missionary Baptist District Association is to serve as Spiritual Gatekeepers and Servants of God by meeting and greeting all attendees of each session and/or worship service of the Association and ushering them into God's House and into His presence. This Ministry shall continuously strive to enhance each worship service by helping to create a spiritual atmosphere that is as free from worldly distractions as possible. We shall further strive to maintain said atmosphere by showing reverence, order and respect for the Holy Spirit during each of these services, always being mindful of Paul's writings in I Corinthians 14:40 "Let all things be done decently and in order". This Ministry shall always be willing to help people into readiness for Learning, Worship, and Evangelism.

VISION

The Vision of this Ministry is to continue to work as a Unified Body of Christ meeting, greeting and seating all Association attendees with a Godly purpose to win Souls for Christ. We shall be available to serve at any and all Association sessions and/or worship service deemed necessary by the Moderator and/or the Association.
